An incredible band based in Newcastle, Diplazar can not be held down by any genre and they love it!

The four members of Diplazar include;
Trent - Vocals & guitar
Oscar - Guitar
Jacob - Drums
Sam - Bass
These guys bring together influences as diverse as RCHP, Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz and Tool Diplazar create a sound unique to themselves becoming more than the sum of their parts in the form of a funky rock jam band that isn't afraid to push the boundaries or change entire genres with one musical piece.
Their song 'Young and Old' prove this exact fact! One of Oscar's favourite songs is described by Trent as the 'perfect frankenstine piece', something that he just had to get out of his brain and was brought together by all four members.
I was lucky enough to sit back and listen to their incredible tunes including their cover of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Oscar's incredible voice was included in this cover and only added to it's 'magicalness'.
With each song carefully constructed by band members, I couldn't quite decide which was my favourite so had to include two. Although 'Young and Old' is up there, I am going to have to go with 'Gold Digger' and 'Someone New'. You can't help but tap something and possibly hit up some insane head bobbing skills when listening to the 'groovy' tunes of 'Gold Digger' (May sound like I've lost it with groovy, but trust me, check it out!)
'Someone New' takes a completely different approach but is just as good! A piece for reflection within yourself, it has a loveable beat that keeps you smiling and hoping! With Trent's power voice this piece hits new levels.
If I could set Diplazar on repeat inside my head for the next few weeks I'd be walking around with a constant smile. Keep it up boys!
